We were checking out a mall here and found a DREAM store…especially for Meredith. It was called something like Libby Lou (which is sorta Lydia’s nickname - Lyddy Lou), and it was a PRINCESS store. Everything was pink and glittery and designed for your everyday fairy tale princess. Meredith was in HEAVEN. As we walked in the door we were greeted by the pixie queen herself (the store clerk), wearing a tierra and glitter. She greeted customers with a dreamy voice, saying, “Hello princesses, would you like some fairy dust so you can make a wish?” She would then put her wand in her magic pocket and sprinkled fairy dust on the kids’ heads. Meredith was IN LOVE. When asked, she looked up at the pixie queen and barely sputtered out a “yes please!”. Allison, however, was not as enchanted. She sorta squinted sideways at the pixie queen and said, “um, yeah? I guess, whatever.” After the dusting, we ventured into the store. Meredith in la la land giving serious consideration to the wish that she had been bestowed with, and then I look over and see Allison, not as enchanted. “What did you wish for sweetie?” I asked Allison. She mutters, barely audible, “I wish I didn’t have this stuff in my hair”
